2008 Update: The big band has re-formed after a year in recession, and looks forward to many public performances in 2008.

Formed in 2003 in Adelaide, the Bob Johnson Big Band rehearses every Wednesday evening.

This band is the perfect example of what it is all about: the attention to detail. Bob's 33 years of experience as a professional musician is now being passed onto some of Adelaide's best talent. They are tight and rehearsed. "It’s not about having a 'band of champions', it's about having a 'champion band, a team' to work with and develop", Bob  says.

The band has been well received and is gaining more popularity. The Bob Johnson Big Band have played at private functions, jazz festivals and corporate events, providing a wide range of music and featuring some of Adelaide's leading vocalists and special guests.

The band's repertoire primarily consists of music Bob attained throughout his career, plus arrangments especially written by Bob to suite the wide range of music styles that are in demand today.
